MINARA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Business Recognition Awards and Gala Dinner Banquet – Call for Nominations 2022

DURBAN: The Minara Business Awards 2022 is scheduled to take place on the 21 October 2022 in Durban.

 

After multiple global and local crisis South Africans have faced over the past few years creating major setbacks in events, economy and daily operations, we are pleased to announce that the Minara Business Awards will once again be held in Durban on the 21 October 2022 with the grace of the Almighty.

 

Minara was founded in KwaZulu-Natal in 2000 to focus on uplifting and promoting individual, family-owned and independent businesses with a vision and mission to bring them from the margins into the frontline of the mainstream economy. Over the years as an institution have progressively transformed with a membership of SMME’S, medium and larger businesses.

 

The chamber promotes economic empowerment, skills transfer, innovation, digital transformation, women and youth development through our various programmes held over the year.

 

The Awards evening now in its 11^th year after a two-year set back with covid restrictions was initiated that despite the busy business operations and everyday activities in the community it is important to acknowledge the contributors, successes, failures, challenges that businesses, business leaders, professionals and community leaders contribute towards building our country. Many leading Industry leaders, Stalwarts and community leaders have been awarded and recognised on this platform over the years for their success and contributions.

 

The event is attended by +450 guests, award nominees, Government, community and non-governmental organisation representatives, religious and cultural leaders, foreign diplomats and chief guests from chambers of commerce and institutions are amongst the guest list of key decision maker and CEO’s.

 

In the awards race, 18 individuals and businesses go through a fair and independent judging process and are judged on their business profiles, accomplishments and community contributions.

Nominations 2022 is officially open and closes on the 15 August 2022.
