COMMITTEES

Over the years the Chamber has developed a professional approach by having sub committees that deal with different aspects and sectors of Business.

Each Portfolio Chair has been mandated to establish activities, workshops and source opportunities for members Locally, Nationally and Internationally.

 

Trade and Investment - 

This committee aims at promoting trade between all businesses sectors irrespective of size be it a manufacturer or a retailer.

Another key focus of this portfolio is promoting Investment opportunities for Businesses and facilitating meetings between the two parties going forward.

Enterprise Development (SMME)

This committee has been proven to be vital to many of our members by providing basic training workshops gearing new business owners with basic knowledge from a business plan to the requirements of accessing finance.

Young Entrepreneurs

Officially launched in 2012 the Chamber found an increasingly need for mentoring and guiding young entrepreneurs and Graduates seeking guidance within the Corporate world.

The Chamber has to date held various networking sessions providing platform for the youth to seek guidance from established business owners and professionals within the corporate world.

Minara Business and Professional Women( MBPW)

Women empowerment is a global phenomenon and one that Minara Chamber of Commerce aims to fulfil with the establishment of Minara Business & Professional Women (MBPW). 

MBPW has been founded in April 2011 and seeks to unite South African women with different talents and skills by providing a platform for self-empowerment and business development amongst women in South Africa.

Key Roles:

Empowering women in business and professionals

Skills development, workshops and leadership programmes

Networking opportunities

Business Range:

Business owners and professionals including CEOs, accountants, lawyers, doctors and professionals

Membership:

Open to all women in business

Corporate Social Responsibility 

Over the years the Chamber has been involved as facilitator in various community projects including food distribution, wheelchair drives.

To date the Chamber as facilitated a collaboration initiative for Muslim organisations to partner and support each other to benefit the broader community through further empowerment initiatives.
