The Minara Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the South African Supplier Diversity Council (SASDC – www.sasdc.org.za) invites you to a training workshop that is focused on the Revised B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, specifically the element thereof which is aimed at addressing procurement market access and black business growth and development.

 

Purpose:

This workshop, delivered by the SASDC, aims to assist participants with better understanding the context of the overall B-BBEE Codes as revised in 2013 and will particularly cover the Enterprise & Supplier Development element thereof. 

 

Workshop Content:

*       A background to and overview of B-BBEE in South Africa

*       Why and how measurement of contributions towards B-BBEE takes place

*       A reflection on the change in focus from ownership to broader market and economic access for Black South Africans

*       What does the Enterprise & Supplier Development element of the Codes cover and why is it important to any business

*       What changes are coming into effect and how will these impact on your business

 

Learning Outcomes:

*       A high level understand of B-BBEE, its rationale and its benefits

*       Knowledge of how businesses are measured and what companies need to do to be compliant

*       A deeper understanding of how B-BBEE is addressing issues of procurement reform and how opportunities should be unlocked for a more inclusive economy

*       Most importantly, how to benefit from the Codes and how going beyond compliance can deliver business benefit
